Click on the small plus sign Click Take Photo Take Photo of worksheet then select Retake or Use Photo Then click on the Photo Click on the three dots Select Grab Image Text Even though the picture I took was slightly crooked and had a shadow it grabbed the text pretty well. Now Go to your Google Drive Open a Google Doc and click on the Keep icon You can now click on the grabbed text and drag it into your document. Slow Chromebook? Go to: my.meraki.com/#connection The IT department has pushed this bookmark out to students. Top left on bookmark bar. From here you can check three things. Check the Health of your wifi connection You should have a green checkmark indicating that you have a healthy connection Run a Speed Test You should get a result over 70Mbps Check the access point that you are connected to. You should be connected to the room that you are currently in or the room next door. If you do not have a healthy high speed connection restart your Chromebook. Feel free to share this information with your students.

Tech Tips iPhone Here are 7 hidden features that you may not know about Magnification - You can use your cell phone to as a magnifier. Forgot your glasses and can’t read something? Pull out the cell phone go to the control center use the magnifier to magnify the print. Directions at end. Click on the Magnification hyperlink to go directly to the directions. Shake to undo- If you typed a long sentence and accidentally deleted it, you do not need to type it all over again.Instead, shake your iPhone side to side to bring up the undo/redo dialog box. Be sure to hold onto your phone tightly when you shake. Want to turn this feature off? Go to Settings> Accessibility> Touch> Shake to Undo or Redo Typing. Battery Tester- Want to know if your remote control needs new batteries? You don’t need a battery tester. Use your cell phone’s camera. You might not be able to see the remote’s light with your naked eye but your cell phone camera will pick it up.

Version History Get in the habit of naming versions within the document instead of making copies. In Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings use the Tools menu and choose "Version history." There you can "Name current version. Try to get into the habit of naming your version when you make major changes. See Version History You do not need to worry when collaborating with Google Apps. If you or someone else makes changes use the File menu to go to "Version history" and "See version history." There you can review automatically saved versions or ones you have named. In the Version history you can click on the 3 dots on a version to "Name version." Use the 3 dots to name version This way you can keep using the same document over time without having similar documents in your Google Drive with the same name.
